Valentine's Crunchie Hamper Review

With Valentine's Day just one week away, I thought I would give you all a little review of one of our Valentine's themed hampers to get you in the mood for some good ol' chocolate.

A brief history on the Crunchie bar

Crunchie, which was originally made by Cadbury and was originally launched in the UK by J. S. Fry & Sons in 1929, is also known as "sponge toffee" in Canada and "honeycomb" or "cinder toffee" in the UK. This candy bar was made in the unique and crunchy honeycomb fashion that is still familiar in the bar today in order to help the bar to sell in summer.

The review

I love a Crunchie (who could blame me). The design on this hamper is fantastic, I really love the personalisation options that are given and the love heart on the hamper (not to be biased).

Every time I get to review a hamper, I love opening it! Pulling the box to reveal the 20 individual bars all fall out at once is a guilty pleasure of mine.

When I opened the Crunchie bar, I immediately snapped the bar into two to show off the honeycomb middle part of the bar. The first bite I had of the Crunchie bar was bliss, I loved the mix of the honeycomb with the added extra taste of chocolate. The after taste it leaves in your mouth just makes you want to go back for more, I would've loved to have had a hot cup of tea to accompany the bar!

Overall, the Crunchie was everything I expected it to be, a great midmorning snack. Has this got you in the mood for a Crunchie? Check out our Valentine's Crunchie Hamper.
